Yorkshire Prosperity Limited (“YPP”) have chosen to support the Children’s Heart Surgery Fund in 2016. YPP, a letting and investment company, with a focus on the student and professional residential sector, will be supporting the charity for the whole of 2016 by providing a monthly donation. The generous donation will fund equipment and resources for the Leeds Congenital Heart Unit, based at the Leeds General Infirmary, the region’s only heart unit.
The partnership has provided a number of benefits for both the charity and the business. Children’s Heart Surgery Fund’s logo will be featured on YPP’s advertising bill board and bus stops.
Ellie Brown, Corporate Fundraiser at the Children’s Heart Surgery Fund, said; “We’re absolutely thrilled that YPP have chosen us as charity of the year. It will make a huge difference by supporting patients with congenital heart disease and their families. There’s a big benefit for both business and charity by working together – including more engaged employees, and great PR in the local community and among customers as well.”
Jen Pierce, Marketing Manager at YPP, said; “We’re delighted to be supporting Children’s Heart Surgery Fund this year. As a Leeds-based company we wanted to support a local charity, and the work done by Children’s Heart Surgery Fund is really inspiring. We are looking forward to the year ahead, and getting involved in as many fundraising activities as we can.”
This year, Children’s Heart Surgery Fund’s focus is to support the new standards created by NHS England, which are now being implemented by each centre across the country. The standards are extensive and costly, therefore the charities aim is to support these new standards where ever possible to ensure the region retains the Leeds Congenital Heart Unit.
