It’s the moment we’ve all been waiting for, the grass is getting greener, the temperature is starting to creep up, the trees are turning green again – Spring is in the air. Living in an apartment in and around Leeds city centre, it’s easy to forget about the greenery that the city has to offer. That’s why, at selected properties for both our student and professional tenants, we offer outside space for those slightly sunnier days spent dreaming about Summer (although we agree that they are few and far between in the UK)!
Whilst apartments on Clarendon Road are aplenty, very few offer the chance to get out and about in the fresh air. We agree, Hyde Park is a great place to chill out, but if you want somewhere a little more private the garden at Clarendon House could be for you. With gardens wrapping from the period building at the front to the modern extension at the back, there is an abundance of lawned outside space to head to with your friends, flatmates or for some solo headspace – depending whether you picked a studio, one, two- or three-bedroom apartment. Plus, if your uni schedule is looking a bit all over the place, you’re just seconds from Leeds University allowing you to hop back and forth between lectures.
A hidden gem tucked away between the abundance of student accommodation in Headingley and Hyde Park, Portland Place is perfect escape set back from Headingley Lane. Like Clarendon House, the apartments are surrounded by a garden that caters for both the Grade II listed building and the more modern rear building. Of all of our Leeds properties with outdoor space, we reckon Portland Place definitely wins on space to offer. If you pick carefully amongst the studio, one and two bed apartments you might just bag yourself a huge window with prime views of the lawned gardens.
Park Square Residence features in this article for two very different reasons. The first one being that if you’ve ever spent any time in Park Square itself, you’ll know it is the perfect spot for the warmer weather. Popular with many business men and women, the carefully tended to (and definitely Instagram worthy) square, overlooked by our beautiful art-deco building is home to a plethora of events and initiatives during the warmer months such as deck chairs and fitness classes. The second and probably less predictable reason for Park Square Residence’s feature in this write up is its secret hideaway roof terrace. Laid out with picnic benches, decking & AstroTurf it is the ideal suntrap and a great spot for students and professionals to go to avoid the busy public spots around the city centre.
